Tattoo Removal
CleanSlate LA provides low-cost tattoo removal as a therapeutic and life-changing intervention, not a cosmetic service. Many of our clients are survivors of violence, individuals impacted by the justice system and are people working to remove visible barriers to safety, employment, housing and dignity.
For some, tattoos represent past affiliations, trauma or identities that no longer reflect who they are becoming. For others, they are obstacles to jobs, stability and fresh starts. Tattoo removal allows individuals to move forward without being marked by their past.
No one is denied access to services. We believe healing should not be conditional. Our pricing model is designed to remain accessible while sustaining the staff, equipment and care required to do this work responsibly.
Tattoo removal at CleanSlate is a process of change, self-acceptance and restoration. Each session represents progress toward safety, opportunity and reintegration.
Youth empowerment
While tattoo removal is our primary service, CleanSlate LA is first and foremost a community intervention program. Through our Street Dreams initiative, we use our platform to reach and empower youth from under-resourced communities, creating pathways away from violence, harm and limited opportunity.
Street Dreams provides youth with access to healing-centered experiences including mindfulness practices, meditation, cultural awareness, self-reflection, spoken word and creative expression. These activities are designed to strengthen identity, emotional regulation, and self-worth, which are protective factors proven to reduce involvement in street violence and system contact.
Our program has supported youth participation in sporting events, arts and crafts workshops, yoga-infused sessions and community circles that build resilience and vision for the future. CleanSlate LA remains committed to supporting young people impacted by poverty, violence, crime and systemic exclusion, offering spaces where healing becomes possible before harm becomes permanent.
We also facilitate support groups and workshops addressing parenting, anger resolution, gang prevention, substance use and gender identity. Partner agencies have included Southern California Counseling Center, Children’s Institute,Avalon Carver Community Center, Harmony Project, among others.
Street Dreams is rooted in identity-affirming, culturally grounded values that help youth see themselves as more than their circumstances and more than the streets they come from.
reentry & community services
CleanSlate LA is more than tattoo removal; we are a hub for reentry, healing and opportunity. We support individuals returning from incarceration, leaving the streets or navigating major life transitions by connecting them to trusted resources that help rebuild stability and hope.
Through our network of community partners, we provide referrals for mental health services, case management, workforce development, housing support and youth and family programs. Our goal is to remove barriers not just from skin, but from lives helping people move forward with dignity and support.
Our partner agencies include Avalon Carver Community Center, Heart of Los Angeles, Southern California Counseling Center, Harmony Project, Children’s Institute, Alexandria House, Green Dot Schools, Watts Labor Community Action Committee and many more organizations committed to healing, education and economic opportunity.
At CleanSlate LA, reentry is not a moment, it’s a journey. And no one should walk it alone.
