STREET DREAMS
Founded by Clean Slate LA, our youth empowerment program has been a catalyst for many teens from under served communities through out Los Angeles county to have an opportunity to bring richness to their livelihood in a healthy manner.
DEEKSHA MEDITATION
The goal is to provide space for the teens to experience a sense of serenity within themselves as most of our youth have navigated through traumatic experiences. Meditation provides a deeper look for the teens to understand their emotions and triggers so that they can begin the healing process.
TEEN RAGE RESOLUTION
Our youth rage groups instill acceptance of rage whilst also defining options to combat aggressive actions. The goal is for the youth to connect with their rage by understanding that it does not need to result in violence.
ARTS/MUSIC/POETRY
This platform allows our youth to have possibilities of self expression, which in essence is therapeutic. The youth are able to attend spoken word events, musical outings, that give the youth first hand understanding of obtaining empowerment through art.
CULTURAL EVENTS
Street Dreams is inclusive to all our youth who may come from different ethnic communities and we honor the youth as they are. Attending events that make sense and resonate to their cultural roots is important and learning history is part of the process.
LGBTQI GROUPS
In this day of age, we are aware that it is difficult for many youth to come out to the world and most importantly, to their families. This group was designed to give our youth the ability to pride themselves in being who they are, while discussing authenticity to themselves.
